Would Decluttering Bring Peace to Your Life Mama?

Is your home overwhelming? Does it feel like a never ending to do list. Or even a list of stuff you are never going to get caught up on. It doesn’t matter how much you do, it’s never enough? Does this leave you feeling like a failure in life? Let’s explore three ways decluttering may help you.

Silent To Do List

Maybe it’s not a you problem, but a stuff problem. What if you have too much stuff. Dawn from the Minimal Mom on YouTube teaches that your stuff is a silent to do list. Everything in your home is silently reminding you of what needs done with that item.

Those dirty socks on the floor are reminding you of the laundry that needs done. That box is letting you know you have returns to make. The lamp is letting you know you need to get more lightbulbs and dust, etc. If you have too much stuff then your to do list can be too much for you to handle.

Clutter= Anxiety

Also did you know there are scientific studies that say clutter increases anxiety especially in women. Could your anxiousness be coming from too much stuff in your life?

Stuff can be physical items, mental items, or things you are involved in. Where might you declutter in your life. Get rid of the overwhelm by being intentional with what is in your home and life. Do you really want it in your life? If not how can you eliminate it from your life?

If you get rid of the anxiety and overwhelm, then what might you feel in your life instead. Peace, joy, contentment, or something else? What are you hoping to feel in your life?

Children Thrive in Simplied Spaces

Do your children have a million toys, but never have something to do? Research also shows that children are more satisfied and creative with fewer toys.

If children are overwhelmed by too much stuff, they find it hard to clean up and find something to play with. Fewer belongings also helps lower their anxiety and overwhelm. It can be hard for them to come up with something to play if they are overwhelmed by all the choices.

Does this all sound good in theory, but you have no idea how to do it. Great thing you know a life coach who can help you with both the mental and physical work of decluttering your life.
