It’s OK to be Tired Mom

Tired Mama

Life has you feeling tired mom. All the house work that you do, chasing of kids, mixed in with everything else. Maybe you are sick on top of it all. You just want to stop for a minute.

It is normal and human to be tired as a mom. Let yourself just be tired. Any mom who says she is not ever tired is lying. Being a mom requires a lot both mentally and physically.

Let Yourself Be Tired

Do not judge yourself for being tired. Yes I am talking to you mama! That includes thinking you should be doing more than you are. You are doing the perfect amount. Everyone is alive and well-ish.

Please don’t “should” yourself. Saying you should be doing things is not motivating. It is like punching yourself in the face. Just accept where you are and maybe even show yourself compassion for how you feel. There is a good reason you feel like you do.

Decide What To Do While Tired

What does loving yourself look like right now while you are tired mom? Does it look like a quick nap, putting the kids in front of the TV while you take a break in your room, or perhaps loading up that stroller and getting some fresh air while you walk. Do you need a mental break from all the anxious thoughts in your head, something healthy to eat, or a venting session with your friend?

Stop and reflect on what you need in this moment. It will change from moment to moment. Listen to your body and do your best to give it what it needs.

When Tired is All the Time

Are you thinking, but Keira I am ALWAYS tired. Maybe your tired is burnout. Now what do you do, because a cat nap is not going to cure me.

That is when outside help may be needed. Someone like me, to help you overcome burnout. If that is you please schedule a free consult call with me. We can see how I can help you and get you started on your road to recovery.

Mama you are doing great! I see all your hard work. It can can be hard. I also know first hand how outside help can you feel better. Some things do not change right now like how many hours your baby sleeps, but some things can be addressed like how much mental energy we put into being anxious. You have got this mama!

Until Next Time
