Do you suffer from indecision? You know when you just don’t know what to do. Not knowing can leave you feeling emotionally drained day in and day out. These can be big or little decisions that are an energy drain.
Indecision
Indecision comes in all sizes, shapes, and categories. It may be as small as what do I want to eat to what do I want to do with my life. Not being able to decide comes from the feeling of indecision.

How many times do you catch yourself saying, “I don’t know.” That is a thought that keeps us stuck in indecision. Let’s throw it into a model to show you what I mean.
Circumstance: dinner is in 2 hours
Thought: I don’t know what to make
Feeling: indecision
Actions/in-actions: avoid making a decision, think about all the things I don’t have to eat, spin on what to eat, scroll Pinterest for ideas, ask others for input, waste time, think about how much I hate planning meals
Result: You don’t know what to make for dinner
See how when I thought “I don’t know” I didn’t know what to make for dinner. Let’s change that thought by one word. Let’s add yet to the end of it.
Circumstance: dinner is in 2 hours
Thought: I don’t know what to make yet
Feeling: curiosity
Actions/in-actions: look in the cupboard to see what I have, ask someone else what they want to eat, find new recipes on Pinterest, consider how much energy and time I have
Result: You know what to make for dinner
Make a List
Now that you changed your mindset to anything except, “I don’t know.” Let’s make a list to challenge our brain. What are 10 things you could make for dinner. Don’t judge the list, just write down every thing you think of.

It might seem hard at first, but once you get going it gets easier. There is no magic to 10 pick a number that feels like a lot but not too many. If you can’t decide on a number stick with 10.
Once you have your list complete, go back and cross off the definite nos. What’s left. Is there one that you like better than the others? Pick that one. If not draw out of a hat if you need to. There is no right or wrong answer.
Use that Decision
But chances are by this point you are leaning towards one. Run with it. If its a BIG decision take it and start working on it. Give yourself a certain amount of time before you are allowed to doubt it. Work on that thing in the meantime.
Every time your brain wants doubt your decision, tell yourself that you will reevaluate on said day. In the meantime put all your belief and effort into that decision.
Still struggling to make a decision, that’s what I’m here for. To help you work thru the indecision and build that muscle. So book a free discovery call with me and lets get you deciding.
Until Next Time
